 I remember how much I cried during that conversation, how my body sank to floor as if there was nothing left of me. How I felt empty inside as if a huge hole started to form inside of me. It was like the world was shattering at my feet and I couldn’t do anything to stop it from happening. It burned, and the pain was excruciating. I wanted to give up. There was nothing left of me.
